Hawkesbury Super 6s Summer Football Competition rules and Guidelines
The following rules and guidelines are for the Summer Football season run by Lowland Wanderers Soccer Club.
Games will be played on Monday afternoon and evenings.
All attempts will be made to catch-up any games postponed which may include same day double headers.
MANAGEMENT ABBREVIATIONS:
▪Lowland Wanderers Soccer Club is known as LWSC
▪Nepean Referees Group is known as NRG
▪Football New South Wales is known as FNSW
COMPETITION FORMAT:
▪U5, U6 and U7 will be 4 v 4 format. U8 and above will be 6 v 6
.▪Competition format will be determined by number of teams per division
▪ 4 team comps will consist of 3 rounds then a 2 round final series
6 team comp will cost of 2 rounds and 1 week finals with 1v2, 3v4, 5v6
8 team comp will be 1 round then a 4 week final series.
10 team comp will consist of 1 round and 1 week finals with 1v2, 3v4, 5v6 etc
These formats are subject to change.
PARTICIPATING AGE GROUPS FOR COMPETITION:
▪The age groups will be as follows: O35s, All age, U16, U15, U14, U13, U12, U11,U10, U9, U8, U7, U6, U5 in both male and female. There will also be an All Age Mixed competition. Final age groups are determined by registrations.
▪LWSC management has the right to reduce or increase teams subject to those registered to play. LWSC management has the right to delete an age group if not enough players register. A competition will be deemed viable if a minimum amount of 4 teams in a competition age group register
THE COMPETITION:
1.Player age eligibility:
A player is eligible to play in the competition based on the following age groups:
A. All Age men: Must be minimum 16 years of age.
B.All Age women: Must be minimum 16 years of age.
C.All Age mixed: Must be minimum 16 years of age.
D.U5: must be minimum 5 years of age and no older than 5 as of 31st of December 2024
E.U6: must be minimum 5 years of age and no older than 6 as of 31st of December 2024
F.U7: must be minimum 5 years of age and no older than 7 as of 31st of December 2024
G.U8: must be minimum 6 years of age and no older than 8 as of 31st of December 2024
H.U9: must be minimum 7 years of age and no older than 9 as of 31st of December 2024
I.U10: must be minimum 8 years of age and no older than 10 as of 31st of December 2024
J.U11: must be minimum 9 years of age and no older than 11 as of 31st of December 2024
K.U12: must be minimum 10 years of age and no older than 12 as of 31st of December 2024
L.U13: must be minimum 11 years of age and no older than 13 as of 31st of December 2024
M.U14: must be minimum 12 years of age and no older than 14 as of 31st of December 2024
N.U15: must be minimum 13 years of age and no older than 15 as of 31st of December 2024
O.U16: must be minimum 14 years of age and no older than 16 as of 31st of December 2024.
2. The Competition will be conducted at Bensons Lane Sporting complex, “Bensons 1”
3. The Competition will run on Monday nights.
4. Table position will be determined using the following priorities - 1: Team with the greater number of points, 2: Goal difference, 3: Most Goals scored, 4: forfeits, 5: Goals difference in matches between the two teams, 6: Most goals scored in matches between the two teams. 7: Cross bar challenge.
5. All players must be registered through Dribl. Players are able to play for more than 1 team as long as registration fees are paid for each team.
6. The purchase of same colour shirts is the responsibility of the individual players and/or sponsors.
7. Sponsors are allowed on your shirts to assist teams in meeting the cost of shirts. All sponsorship must be tasteful.
8. If an unregistered player is played by any team that team will lose 3 competition points regardless of whether they won that match or not.
9. At the conclusion of the match the referee will fill in Dribl with the score and details of the match.
10. Players ID will be checked against the team sheet at the beginning of each game by the opposing captain. If there is a discrepancy the competition administration will inspect the player identification.
11. A maximum of 12 players can be nominated for each game.
12. A minimum of 4 players must take the field for U8s and above. A Minimum of 3 players is required for U5, u6 and u7s. If a team has less than the required minimum players at the commencement of the match the referee shall not continue with the match and allowing 10 minutes from the scheduled kick off time the referee should then abandon the match. The team that could not field a full team will automatically forfeit the match to the opposing team.
13. A team may borrow up to three players from another team of the same or lower division.
14. Interchange can occur at any time in the match with the referees’ permission.
15. A player may be awarded a yellow card. If a player receives two yellow cards in any one match, they must leave the field immediately and take no further part in the match. That player will automatically receive a one match suspension. They must also present themselves at the check in location and speak with one of the administrative team.
16. If a player receives a red card in any one match, they must leave the field immediately and take no further part in the match. That player must then report to the administrative team and speak with one of them. At this point they will be advised of their minimum suspension. If LWSC believes that the minimum suspension is insufficient that player will be notified in writing thereafter within 5-days. If a player is asked to leave the field by the referee without officially being sent-off that player may play in the following match subject to the final decision of the administrative team.
17. All match balls will be supplied by LWSC. All match balls to be returned to the referee at theconclusion of the match.
18. All senior matches shall be 2 x 20 minute periods.
19. All junior matches shall be 2 x 15 minute periods.
20. In all age groups there will be 3 minute break for half time.
21. The points per match are: WIN = 3 points, Loss = 0 points, DRAW = 1 point.
22. If a match is abandoned the team that has not breached the laws or minimum playing numbers will be awarded 3 points for the win and 3 goals as determined by the administrative team.
23. If a match is abandoned due to a venue malfunction or player injury that requires an ambulance to attend, the matter will be referred to the Administrative team for adjudication.
24. If a match is forfeited the team that they were playing will be awarded 3 points for the winand 3 goals.
25. If for whatever reason there is a bye due to insufficient teams that team is awarded 3 points and 3 goals.
26. If a team plays an unregistered player it will be deemed they have forfeited the game and 3 points will be awarded to the opposition.
27. All players must play in their nominated team unless both teams have agreed and thereferee notified.
28. A team must give a minimum of 24-hour’s notice of a forfeit. A forfeit does not mean that portion of their registration fee will be reimbursed.
Match Rules (FIFA Rules of Football apply where they have not been altered or affected by these Game Rules.)
1.There is no off-side
2. There are no throw-ins. The ball shall be kicked into the field from the sideline for allmatches
3. A goal cannot be scored from a direct kick from the sideline (Corner, goal kick, sideline kick). It must be touched by a player prior to entering the goal.
4. Indirect free kicks and kick offs – all players must be at least 5 yards from the ball.
5. Penalty kicks will be taken from the edge of the goal area.
6. If at any time in a game there is a 3 goal or more difference in the score line, the losing side may add a 7th player. If the score returns to 2 difference or less, the additional 7th player must leave the field.
Additional rules for ADULT Mixed competition.
1.A maximum of 3 male players can be on the field at any time.
2. A male player can only score from inside the goal area.
3.I n the event that a ball played by a male player from outside the goal area enters the goal without being touched by another player, a goal kick will be taken.
4. In the event a male player kicks the ball and it is deflected into the goal the referee will decide whether it was the original kick was intended as a pass or a shot. If it was a pass,the goal will be allowed. If it was a shot the goal will be disallowed. The Referees decision is final
REFEREES:
1.All referees are accredited referees from the Nepean Referees Group.
2. If the Nepean Referees Group does not allocate a referee to a fixture, LWSC management will appoint a referee.
3. LWSC management whilst responsible for the Bensons Lane Summer Football competition will not overturn any decision the referee has made during the course of the match.
PROTESTS:
If any team has any protest against a referee this is to be reported immediately to the administrative team located at the ground. This must be done within fifteen minutes of the conclusion of the game in writing and clearly stating your reason or reasons for the protest. The administrative team will announce the outcome to each team within 24 hours. Any protest received outside that time period will not be recognised.
GOALPOSTS:
Under no circumstances are players or spectators to climb or swing on Goal Posts at any time during the match or in between matches.
INSURANCE: Limited player injury insurance is provided through Football NSW and is included in your registration fee. The Association strongly advises all players to review the policy and address any perceived Hawkesbury Super shortfalls in coverage by engaging their own Private Health Insurance and/or Income Protection Insurance.
REGULAR FORFEITS:
If a team forfeits on 3 occasions they may be withdrawn from the competition. No refunds will be issued to any player on that team once they have been withdrawn from the competition.
PLAYERS EQUIPMENT:
1.All players must wear boots, long socks and shin pads.
2.All shin pads must be covered by socks.
3.No player is permitted to wear metal studs.
4.All players must have the same colour shirt.
5.If there is a clash of colours one of the teams must wear bibs.
JUDICIARY and SUSPENSIONS:
1.All players sent from the field will receive suspension punishment as per the SCHEDULE 3:TABLE OF OFFENCES in the Football NSW Grievance and Disciplinary Regulations 2019 that can be found at https://footballnsw.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/2019-Football-NSW-Grievance-and-Disciplinary-Regulations-2.pdf
2. Each player sent off must present themselves to the administrative location at the check-in counter. That player will be notified of the suspension at that time, however in some cases the LWSC disciplinary committee may deem there to be further punishment. If this is the case that player will be notified within 5-days.
3. Should a lengthy suspension be incurred by a player, which exceeds the length of thecompetition, details will be forwarded to the relevant Association and will be recorded onthe players PlayFootball record.
WEATHER POLICY:
If play does not go ahead due to inclement weather this will be advertised on the Hawesbury Super Sixes Facebook page. If a game cannot be played the matches will be replayed at a later date. Our weather policy is in accordance with the Football NSW hot weather policy and the Football NSW lightening safety policy.
INsurance
LWSC does not accept responsibility to any player injured. All players are covered under the Football NSW limited insurance policy. This is found at the time of player registration online. The LWSC does not accept responsibility or liability for any loss, theft or damage to personal possessions or equipment whilst attending the competition location. The management reserves the right to alter the rules of the competition.
DE-REGISTRATIONS AND REFUND POLICY:
If a player de-registers before the competition commences, a full refund will be given less Football NSW, admin expenses and active kids voucher value. If a player de-registers after competition commences no refund will be given. No refund will be given to Juniors who have used an Active Kids Rebate as payment of their registration fee. Active Kids Rebates will be transferred directly to another approved active kids provider.
